Clicking on the picture you will find the video of an interview I gave in Ireland to Silicon Republic and was asked to discuss “The Future of Marketing“. It was as a result of doing a talk at the Dublin Institute of Technology again about a more generic title of marketing in the future. It is a fascinating topic and this interview doesn’t really touch on the entire topic but really looks at what I see as the first stage we are in – that of separate technologies working independently of each other.
Eventually I see the likes of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality being part of an integrated platform. Consumers will be able to select how they see the world and using some sort of technology – wearable glassware most likely (bear in mind people are already building contact lenses with this sort of tech inbuilt)
It is a really interesting area but almost philosophical in nature; the very nature of human communication will change as a result of what is being worked on at the moment. Whether this is a good thing or not remains to be seen.
